Rental Terms
Last updated
These terms apply to every La Toilette rental and are part of your rental agreement. If your signed agreement says something different, the signed agreement controls. The terms in effect on the day you book are the ones that apply to your booking.
1. Booking
A 50% deposit reserves your date once your rental agreement is signed. Change your mind within seven days of booking and we refund the deposit in full, no questions asked. The seven-day window applies to bookings made more than 30 days before the event.
Before you pay anything, we confirm that your site works for the trailer.
2. What the price includes
Delivery, leveling, setup and pickup within 40 miles of Cincinnati; a fully stocked trailer with paper, soap, hand towels, mints and a scent; and a generator, if your site needs one, at no extra charge.
Add-ons, when you order them:
| Add-on | Price |
|---|---|
| Water service (we bring and fill a fresh water tank) | $175 |
| On-site attendant (four-hour minimum) | $65 an hour |
| Mid-event servicing | $95 |
| Travel beyond 40 miles, measured round trip | $3.50 a mile |
Multi-day rentals start at $2,200 for a Friday-through-Sunday weekend and $3,200 for a week. Your quoted price is locked once you book. Sales tax is added to your invoice at the rate for your event's location.
3. The balance
We keep a card on file and charge the balance automatically 7 days before your event. We email you a week before that charge, so nothing is ever a surprise. You can switch the card any time, or ask us to invoice you instead. Approved corporate accounts may pay on net 30 terms.
By booking, you authorize La Toilette to charge the card on file for the balance, for add-ons you order, and for any charge under section 9. If a charge fails, we will contact you to sort it out; the balance must be paid before delivery.
4. If you have to cancel
- More than 60 days before your event: everything back, less a $100 administrative fee.
- Between 30 and 60 days: we keep the 50% deposit, and nothing else is owed.
- Under 30 days: the full amount is due. That date is off our calendar and rarely resells that late.
If we resell your date, at any of those stages, we refund everything except the $100. We will tell you when it resells. You will not have to ask.
5. Postponing instead
We would rather move your date than lose it. You can move to any open date in the next twelve months with no fee, including for weather. If you tell us before we load the truck, there is no charge at all. What you have paid moves with you; if the new date is priced differently, we adjust the balance.
6. If we have to cancel
If we can't deliver (because the trailer is out of service, a road is closed, or conditions aren't safe), we refund everything you have paid, and we will help you find another option. That refund is the limit of what we owe.
7. Your site
- Space: 19 ft 10 in long including the tongue, 11 ft 4 in wide with the stairs out, 11 ft 7 in tall.
- Ground: level or close to it, with a clear path wide enough to tow the trailer in.
- Power and water: a standard 20 amp outlet and a garden hose within reach, or we bring the generator (included) and water service (add-on).
- Permission: you are responsible for the venue's or property owner's permission, and any permits the site needs.
- Hazards: tell us about septic fields, buried lines, soft ground or overhead wires before delivery.
If the site isn't safe or doesn't match what you told us, we may reposition the trailer or decline to set up. In that case, section 5 applies.
8. Delivery, the event and pickup
We schedule around your venue's access window. The trailer is placed, leveled, stocked and tested before your first guest arrives, which sometimes means the evening before. We confirm the schedule with you and your venue a week out, and collect the trailer once your event is done.
The trailer runs on its own through a normal evening. It comfortably serves up to 225 guests at a standard reception, closer to 180 with a long cocktail hour; for larger counts or events past six hours, we recommend mid-event servicing or an attendant.
During your event, please:
- Don't move, unhitch or re-level the trailer, or open the mechanical room
- Don't smoke or vape inside
- Flush only toilet paper
- Call us at 513-201-8792 if anything stops working
9. Damage and cleaning
No damage hold and no security deposit. Normal use is on us. Genuine damage is rare. If it happens, or if cleanup goes well beyond normal use, we send you photographs and talk to you before we charge anything. Any charge is the actual cost of the repair or cleanup. You are responsible for damage caused by your guests.
10. Accessibility
The trailer is entered up a set of stairs and is not ADA accessible. If you need an accessible restroom on site, tell us and we will help you source an ADA unit to sit alongside ours.
11. Insurance and liability
La Toilette, LLC carries general liability insurance and will send a certificate to your venue on request.
To the extent the law allows, our total liability for any claim related to a rental is limited to the amount you paid for that rental, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses. You agree to cover claims that arise from misuse of the trailer by you or your guests.
12. Photos
We may photograph and film the trailer at your event for our website, social media and advertising. The trailer is the subject, not your guests. It is never our goal to photograph people: we shoot around guests, we never photograph inside the trailer while it is in use, and before we post anything we crop or blur anyone who can be recognized, unless they have given us permission.
Even with that care, someone may occasionally end up in the background of a photo by accident. By booking, you consent to your own incidental appearance in those photos, and we ask that you let your guests know the trailer may be photographed.
If you or any of your guests would like a photo removed, email hello@latoilettemobile.com and we will take it down from our website and social media within seven days. We can't recall copies that others have already shared.
Would you rather we took no photos at all? Tell us before your event and we won't.
13. Ohio law
These terms are governed by the laws of Ohio. Any dispute will be handled in the state or federal courts in Hamilton County, Ohio.
