Cost and booking

How much does it cost?

A Saturday wedding within 40 miles of Cincinnati starts at $1,595. Friday and Sunday weddings start at $1,395, weekday events at $1,195. Every price includes delivery, leveling, setup, a fully stocked trailer and pickup, and most weddings land between $1,595 and $1,795. Add-ons are published too, so you will not have to call to find out.

What is included in the rental?

The full three-station trailer: two private women's cabins and one men's with a waterless urinal, each behind its own locking door. Air conditioning and heat on a digital thermostat, china toilets with a foot flush, stainless sinks with running water, oversized mirrors and LED lighting inside and out.

Delivery, leveling, setup and pickup are in the base price, and so is a fully stocked trailer: paper, soap, hand towels, mints and a scent. If your venue has no power, the generator is included as well.

How far in advance should I book?

Saturdays between May and October go first. We recommend 6 to 12 months ahead for a peak-season Saturday, and less for weekdays and the off-season. If you already know your date, book it as soon as you can. There is one trailer, so a date is either open or it is not. If yours is close, ask anyway. Cancellations happen.

What is the deposit, and can I cancel?

Booking. A 50% deposit reserves your date. Change your mind within seven days and we refund it in full, no questions asked.

The balance. We keep a card on file and charge the balance automatically 7 days before your event. We email you a week before that charge, so nothing is ever a surprise. Switch the card any time, or tell us you would rather pay by invoice and we will send one.

If you have to cancel.

  • More than 60 days out: everything back, less a $100 administrative fee.
  • Between 30 and 60 days: we keep the 50% deposit, nothing else is owed.
  • Under 30 days: the full amount is due. That date is off our calendar and rarely resells that late.

If we resell your date, at any of those stages, we refund everything except the $100. We will tell you when it resells. You will not have to ask.

Postponing instead. We would rather move your date than lose it. Any open date in the next twelve months, no fee, including for weather. If you tell us before we load the truck, there is no charge at all.

Damage. No damage hold and no security deposit. Genuine damage is rare. If it happens, we send you photographs and talk to you before we charge anything.

Your venue

Do I need power and water at my venue?

The trailer runs on one standard 120 volt, 20 amp circuit and a garden hose. Plenty of venues have both. If yours does not, and barns, fields and historic properties often do not, at least not within reach of where the trailer parks, see the next answer. It is not something you need to solve.

What if my venue has no outlet or no spigot nearby?

Then we bring a generator, fueled, at no extra charge. Water service, where we bring and fill a fresh tank, is $175. Tell us about the site when you request a quote and we will tell you which you need. This is the most common reason a booking falls through elsewhere. It is not a reason here.

How much space does the trailer need?

19 ft 10 in long including the tongue, 11 ft 4 in wide once the stairs are out, and 11 ft 7 in tall with the air conditioner on top. It needs ground that is level, or close to it, and a clear path wide enough to tow it in. We confirm your site works before you pay a deposit, not after.

How far do you travel, and is there a delivery fee?

The first 40 miles from Cincinnati are included in the price. Beyond that, travel is $3.50 per mile, measured round trip. We regularly serve Cincinnati, Northern Kentucky, Dayton, Lexington, Louisville, Columbus and Indianapolis, and we will go further for the right event. Just ask.

On the day

How many guests does the trailer handle?

Comfortably up to 225 for a standard reception. Closer to 180 if you are serving a long cocktail hour, or if the evening runs past six hours without a break, because people use a restroom more often when they are standing and drinking. Tell us your guest count and the shape of your evening and we will tell you honestly whether one trailer is enough.

When do you deliver and pick up?

It depends on your venue's access window, and we work around it. The trailer is placed, leveled, stocked and tested before your first guest arrives, which sometimes means the evening before and sometimes the morning of. We confirm the schedule with you and with your venue a week out, and collect it once your event is done.

Do you stay on site during the event?

Not by default. The trailer is stocked to run on its own through a normal evening. If you would like someone there to restock, tidy between guests and handle anything that comes up, an on-site attendant is $65 an hour with a four-hour minimum. It is worth it for larger guest counts and for evenings that run long.

What happens if it rains or snows?

The inside is climate controlled, so on a bad day it is the most comfortable place at your event. Setup is the part to plan: soft ground may mean repositioning to keep the trailer level and to keep tires off a lawn you care about. If the forecast looks rough, call us and we will work out the placement together.

The details

Do you carry insurance? Can you send a certificate to my venue?

Yes. La Toilette, LLC carries general liability insurance, and we send a certificate directly to your venue on request, usually the same day. Many venues require one from every vendor before a trailer is allowed on the property, so it is worth asking us early rather than the week of.

Is the trailer wheelchair accessible?

The trailer is entered up a set of stairs and is not ADA accessible. If you need an accessible restroom on site, tell us and we will help you source an ADA unit to sit alongside ours and coordinate where it goes.

Do you offer multi-day or long-term rentals?

Yes. A full weekend, Friday through Sunday, starts at $2,200: one delivery, one collection, three days. Weekly rentals start at $3,200. Monthly and job-site placements are quoted for the site. Festivals, renovations and multi-day builds are all normal work for us.
